Off-Site Activities

The staff members of the reserve are dedicated to teaching the community about the importance of conserving the coastal and estuarine resources of the region.  This education can take place in many different ways such as speaking, leading field expeditions and exhibiting at festivals.

Club Presentations

Our staff members are available to speak to your group about the reserve or on a variety of environmental issues.  If you have a garden, civic or church organization that requires a speaker for its monthly meeting, please consider inviting one of our researchers or educators to come and present a Powerpoint presentation tailored to your needs.  Contact the education coordinator to schedule a presentation.

Conference Presentations

If your organization is sponsoring a conference and would like a speaker to highlight the local coastal environment or talk about ongoing research opportunities, please contact us, and we will try to accommodate your needs.  We are often available to partner with your organization on projects that relate to the mission and goals of the reserve.

Festivals and Special Events

If you need us to exhibit or speak at your local environmental festivals, school presentations or community celebrations, please call us to see if someone is available to come to your site.  We specialize in hands-on exhibits that teach the audience about our coastal and estuarine resources.
