LEAD Technologies Inc. V1.01Interpretive Center

The designs for the reserve's new research and education facilities are currently being finalized.  The new facility will include an interpretive and education center, house staff members from both the reserve and the Grand Bay National Wildlife Refuge, provide laboratory space for researchers and serve as an example of sustainable construction design.

The theme of the interpretive center is "Living on the Edge-the Nature of Change".  The new exhibits will allow the visitor to experience how different kinds of environmental and cultural changes such as fire, tides or storms can impact coastal biodiversity and habitats (Future link to take a virtual tour).  The new center is anticipated to open in early 2009.   Check the new facilities update page for more information.
